How Powerful is the 2019 Jeep Wrangler?
Throughout the entire Jeep lineup, the Wrangler is the model drivers think of when they think of Jeep. An extremely capable, versatile and exciting vehicle, the Wrangler impresses year after year with its fantastic dependability and performance. Known mostly for its off-road capabilities, just how powerful is the 2019 Jeep Wrangler?
For 2019, the Jeep Wrangler is available in seven distinct trim levels. These include the standard Sport trim, along with the upgraded Sport S, Sport Altitude, Sahara, Sahara Altitude, Rubicon and MOAB grades. While each of these models offer their own exclusive features and upgrades, each of them comes equipped with the same standard engine.
In fact, the engine found in each of the new Wrangler models is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. This engine type is able to give the Wrangler the most horsepower with 285, along with 260 lb-ft of torque.
While the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine comes standard with each Wrangler model, all of the trims outside of the MOAB model also offer the optional 2.0-liter Direct-Injection Turbo engine with the eTorque Mild Hybrid System. This engine is able to improve the Wrangler’s efficiency, as well as generate 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
Whichever engine you decide to go with, also keep in mind that all models will be able to tow up to 3,500 lbs.
